Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and FAI Group of Companies, Cameroon, which runs GradePadi (the website gradepadi.com and the GradePadi app). By creating an account or using GradePadi you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What GradePadi is
GradePadi helps learners find verified tutors, join live classes, practise for exams and use a study library. Tutors are independent teachers who set their own prices and schedules; GradePadi provides the platform, the payments and support, but does not employ tutors.
2. Your account
- Give true information and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- The role you choose when you join (learner, parent, tutor or contributor) is fixed; other roles are added through support.
- Learners under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
- Tutoring, running classes, uploading material and withdrawing money require identity verification.
- Some profile details can be changed only once every 3 months, and new profile photos are checked by our team before others see them.
3. Lessons, classes and packages
- When you book, the price is held from your wallet and paid to the tutor after the lesson takes place.
- Cancellations, missed lessons, packages and refunds follow the rules shown before you book. Unused package lessons are refunded to your wallet when the package ends.
- If something goes wrong you can open a dispute; our team reviews it and decides on a refund or payment.
4. Wallet, payments and withdrawals
- You add money to your wallet with Mobile Money through our payment partner Fapshi. Amounts are in CFA francs (XAF).
- Money you deposit, promotional credit and gifts can be spent on GradePadi but cannot be withdrawn.
- Only money you earned (as a tutor, contributor or through referrals) can be withdrawn to Mobile Money, after any waiting period, from the minimum amount shown in your wallet. New payout numbers can be used after 24 hours.
- Withdrawals are checked before they are paid. We may hold or refuse a payment we reasonably believe is fraudulent or breaks these terms.
- Gifts through "Gift a Padi" support learners' lessons and are not refundable once used.
5. Study material you upload
- Only upload material you created or have the right to share. Do not upload other people's copyrighted work, watermarked material from other platforms, or exam papers you are not allowed to share.
- You keep ownership of your material. By uploading it you give GradePadi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, check, show and make it available to users on GradePadi, including after your account is deleted.
- Material is reviewed (by our team and automated tools). We may refuse or remove material and cancel related rewards.
6. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- harass, threaten or exploit anyone, especially minors, or share sexual, violent or hateful content;
- take lessons or payments outside GradePadi to avoid its fees, or share contact details to do so;
- cheat in exams or help others cheat, or sell answers to live exams;
- pretend to be someone else, use another person's ID, or create accounts to abuse promotions or referrals;
- attack, scrape or disrupt the platform, or try to access other accounts.
We may warn, limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
7. Our responsibility
We work to keep GradePadi available and safe, but we provide it "as is". Tutors are responsible for the quality of their teaching, and we do not guarantee exam results. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid GradePadi in the 3 months before it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Cameroonian law.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page or the app. See how to delete your account. Earnings should be withdrawn first; remaining deposited credit is lost.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; important changes are announced before they apply. These terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon. We will first try to settle any disagreement with you through support; otherwise the competent courts of Cameroon decide.
